Heylo! Now my other buddies have shown you fashion, race cars etc (recently anyway) so I'm going to show the nerdier side of SL for those who'd rather wander around and just read things (like people who stroll around wikipedia). SL is full of museums and the one I visited recently was the Star Trek Museum of Science which showcases and information can be found in note cards. There were several freebies to be found around the meuseum and I managed to get the uniforms!
WARNING: This sim has plenty of prims so a fast connection is advised.
When I arrived via teleport, I found myself at the transporter! *happy tribble thrilling*
And the sign next to the transporter showed me where I was.
There were rooms explaining the animals found in Star Trek, articles on weapons, chemistry, ships, species etc.
I'd say the best part was the tour in the shuttle around the sim for it'd take you on a ride to survey the entire place.
Aside from the science museum, there were also embassies of the various races. This place is bigger than just one meuseum yep yep yep.
