NUS has recently clinched 3 awards in the SHOOOT Fiesta Awards,
namely the Best TVC award (school), Best Long Machinima (school) and Best Visual Effects award (school).
The SHOOOT Awards aims to rejuvenate creativity, inspire innovation and proliferate the best of practices in New Media content creation. SHOOOT is an initiative which had received support from the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts as well as the Creative Community Singapore.
While 2 of the prized videos are made by NUS students for their assignments, the video "Love of Lotherien" , produced by our very own ridgecats, claimed the Best Visual Effects award! The very same video that got norminated to be one of the Top 4 in the Machinima Expo 2009 under the Asian Jury catergory. As a student community, we believe that our fellow schoolmates will be able to produce even better productions.
